平成は、終わることが予め決まっていた初めての年号だった。
平成最後の夏のお祭りや花火大会の写真も、いつも通り気張らずに撮りためていた。

そして予定通り平成が終わり、令和になり、新型コロナが流行した。
日常は、想像もしてなかった方向に一気に覆った。

令和2年以降のスナップには、言いようのない緊張感が写っていた。
写真はある意味残酷だと改めて知った。

そんな時に見返した平成最後の夏は、あまりにカラフルで生き生きとしていた。

THE LAST SUMMER OF HEISEI 2018

In our long history of this country , Heisei was the first era that
was planned to end at a designated time.
As a part of my usual work,I stored almost all scenes of the summer festival and the fireworks
which I took during the last summer of the Heisei era.

And at last, as designated, it ended in 2019 and the new Reiwa era started.
COVID-19 attacked our world like wildfire .
Our everyday lives wereoverturned as no one could have imagined.

The snap shots I took after the second year of Reiwa were filled with inexpressible nervoustension.
Then I first knew the cruelty of photographs.

Reviewing the works of the last summer of Heisei, its overwhelming radiance touched my heart.
